Helen worked for us from April 2007 until December 2008.  She was great around the house, and a real support when our baby boy arrived in June 2007.  I was very exhausted after the birth, due to a long labour and emergency caesarean, and Helen would help with our son when I needed a rest.  She also did all the laundry and cleaning and some cooking for us.  Her experience with children meant that she was able to give advice about any concerns I had about my health and my son’s.   She was very good at looking after and entertaining our son, so that they formed a real attachment.  This was lovely for him, and meant that I was completely confident in leaving him in her care.  I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Helen to anyone who was considering using her as a doula.

Helen Arundell came and helped look after our son shortly after he was born, whilst I had time to adjust following a c-section birth.  
 
Not only was she wonderful with our baby, but she cooked delicious casseroles and constantly emptied dishwashers, washing machines and generally was totally hands on, helping out wherever she thought necessary and on several occasions I felt very happy to leave her with the baby when I had to go out.

"Helen helped me after my caesarean section in March 2011. She was a general support to me and the baby and was extremely helpful, going shopping and doing general household tasks. She came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. She has an extremely nice manner and fitted in well in the house. Helen is quite simply an angel. With her experience and calm nature, Helen helped my husband and I to get our daughter to take a bottle in two afternoons, something we had failed to do in 5 months. She reassured us that we weren't failures, identified a solution we hadn't tried and coaxed us, so we all (including our daughter) were relaxed. Although she was only with us for a few days, we felt that we had known her longer and wouldn't hestiate in recommending her.

Helen came to help me following an emergency c-section in March 2011.  She was wonderfully supportive and extremely helpful.  She supported me through difficulties with breastfeeding and assisted me to continue to breastfeed when I might otherwise have given up.  She also took the baby out so I could catch up on some much needed sleep.  She encouraged me in playing with him and stimulating him and was wonderful with him.  She was also kept the house going, doing vacuuming, washing and washing up, as well as anything she could see that needed to be done.
